School Library Journal is a monthly magazine for Librarians and other educational professionals who work with students in school or in public libraries. They provide the latest reviews on books, audiovisuals, educational websites and software as well as provide wonderful articles on the publishing world, authors or any issue that affects children and reading. The magazine began in 1954 under the title Junior Libraries within the pages of its parent publication, Library Journal. This magazine also has a great online presence with newsletters, blogs and news of the literary world.

Well respected for their impeccable reviews and commentary on anything and everything involving children’s literature the Horn book is a must for anyone interested in children’s books. The Hornbook also offers a magazine as well as a guide that focused on book reviews exclusively as well as a website.

Library Journal- is currently in their 133rd year of publication and reviews a combination of materials for adults, young adults and children. This journal is geared towards public, school and university Librarians and others who select books as well as towards publishers and other interested in the publishing industry. They provide commentary on publishing, library and literary issues as well as provide information on the latest technology and innovations.

VOYA (The Voice of Youth Advocates)- is an bi-monthly magazine that is specifically geared towards those that work with teenagers including librarians, educators, publishers and other professionals who love YA literature and want to explore it. VOYA also focuses on meeting the needs of young people by addressing what attracts them, what makes them comfortable and want to spend time in the Library. VOYA provides book reviews written by education and literature professionals as is the only student focused magazine that invites book reviews and articles written by teenagers.
